For Capoeira, wear comfortable and breathable pants (no shorts or jeans please) and t-shirt / top of any color.
It’s important you arrive early (minimum 15 minutes) to familiarize yourself with our Academy and instructors and fill out a waiver form. You may also want to try following along some of our videos here to get bit of a head start on your first class.

No. Although a partner is not necessary, we highly recommend having a friend join with you as this has been proven to help keep both of you motivated and focused on achieving your goal (fitness and/or skill level).
Although all our classes are beginner-friendly, we highly recommend you watch some of our training videos here to prepare in advance.
For your first class, the instructor will greet you and show you some basic moves prior to the start of class. The instructor will then do a group warm-up & stretch and proceed to help you with some basic moves and/or modified exercises that will allow you to follow along with the rest of the class.
Every class will be a little different and everyone learns at a different pace, so patience is essential. Some people may have a steep learning curve, but after about 1 month of consistent training, you will start to get the hang of things.
